Best Used Car Dealer Software in India (2026): 8 Options Compared

Eight tools Indian used car dealers actually consider - purpose-built used car software, billing and RTO-forms apps, general accounting packages, and franchise dealer management systems - compared on what each is built for, with facts taken from each vendor’s own public pages.

We make one of the products on this list, so read it with that in mind. What we have tried to do is the thing most "best software" lists do not: say what each tool is actually built for, quote only what the vendor’s own public pages say, date those facts, and be clear about who should pick which. Where a vendor’s page does not describe a feature we say "not listed" rather than "does not have it".

All vendor facts below were taken from the vendors’ public websites in September 2026 and may have changed - check before you buy. If you are from one of these companies and something is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Key takeaways

  • The Indian market has four different kinds of "dealer software", and most buying mistakes come from comparing across kinds: used car business systems, billing and RTO-forms tools, general accounting packages, and franchise dealer management systems (DMS).
  • For an independent used car dealer the deciding questions are: does it know the landed cost and profit per car, does it handle the GST margin scheme, does it handle partner money, and does it run more than one branch without a per-branch project.
  • Franchise DMS products are built around OEM ordering, service bays and spare parts - real needs an independent used car dealer does not have.
  • Free or cheap tools are a good fit when the job is genuinely just the bill and the forms; the cost of the wrong tool is the spreadsheet you keep beside it.

How to read the list: match the kind of tool to the job you are hiring it for.

1. VehicleERP

Our product, so the shortest entry. VehicleERP is used car dealership software built in Surat: one record per car carrying purchase, reconditioning, expenses, documents and partner money; profit and GST under the margin scheme worked out the moment a car sells; brokerage and consignment deals alongside owned stock; multi-branch on one owner dashboard; role-based staff access; and AI for pricing, ageing alerts, document scanning and daily summaries. Works on any phone, in English and Hindi. Pricing: 30-day free trial, then ₹1,499 per month plus GST per dealership. See features and pricing, and judge it against the questions above.

2. Bill My Car

Bill My Car describes itself as a platform for car dealers in India to generate billing and RTO documentation: GST or non-GST car invoices, sale letters and vehicle sale agreements, delivery notes, RTO Form 29 and 30 and the other RTO forms (28, 34, 35, 25, 26, 27, 31, 33, 29C), plus stock and lead management with ageing, one-tap stock sharing, a cash ledger, staff access and document storage in your own Google Drive. Its site says dealers can start free and that it is built for used, pre-owned and new car dealerships. Not listed on its site: profit per car from landed cost, partner or investor profit sharing, brokerage deals, multi-branch, AI. Best for a dealer whose main pain is paperwork. We have a fuller, side-by-side comparison with Bill My Car.

3. Vyapar

Vyapar’s automobile billing page describes invoicing for sales and services, inventory for spare parts and accessories, digital job cards, vehicle service history, multi-store monitoring, barcodes, gate passes and loyalty points, with desktop plans listed from a free tier to ₹308 and ₹833 per month. It is aimed at automobile businesses broadly - workshops and parts counters as much as dealers - and does not describe used car resale, per-vehicle profit, the margin scheme or partner sharing. Best for a small business that needs GST invoicing and a parts inventory at a low price.

4. TallyPrime

Tally’s car inventory page describes TallyPrime tracking vehicle stock with model, VIN, colour, make and mileage, car status across locations and branches, inventory by lot, branch or sales staff, GST-compliant vehicle invoices, and recording additional charges such as registration, insurance and accessories, with pricing from ₹750 per month for a single user and ₹2,250 per month for multi-user. It is first and foremost an accounting package; per-vehicle profit, the margin scheme, partner sharing and brokerage deals are not described. Best for statutory books - many dealers keep Tally with their CA and run the lot in something else. See Vyapar and Tally compared with VehicleERP.

5. DealerSetu

DealerSetu describes itself as "India’s only dealership-first DMS": an integrated CRM with lead management, sales automation, inventory management, service scheduling and a GST-compliance focus, cloud-first for Indian dealerships. Pricing is not listed; the site directs buyers to book a demo for a quote. Its positioning and feature set - service scheduling, sales automation - point at authorised dealerships. Best for a franchise dealer wanting a modern DMS.

6. AGN-DMS

AGN Software’s AGN-DMS covers sales, service, spares, GST-enabled accounting, CRM and pre-owned vehicles, for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, high-end vehicles, tractors and commercial vehicles, with SAP and warranty integrations, cloud reporting and auto-SMS, and a claim of 3,000+ businesses. Pricing is not listed. It is a full-scope franchise system that includes a pre-owned module rather than a product built around used cars. Best for a multi-brand or OEM-linked dealership that needs service, spares and accounting in one DMS.

7. Orbitsys

Orbitsys describes over 25 years as a DMS partner for automotive businesses in India, serving OEMs, EV companies, dealerships and multi-brand workshops, with sales, workshop, CRM, parts inventory, digital retailing and learning-management modules, integrated mobile apps, ISO 27001:2022 certification and claims of 2,200+ dealer outlets. Pricing is not listed. Best for OEM networks and franchise groups with service operations.

8. CarDekho Used Car (Dealer Only) app

CarDekho’s dealer-only app is the marketplace’s tool for dealers to list and manage stock for CarDekho’s buyer audience. It is a channel rather than a business system - it does not replace the record of what a car cost, who funded it or what it earned. Best for lead flow, used alongside whatever runs the dealership.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best software for a small used car dealer in India?+

It depends on the job. If the pain is producing bills and RTO forms, a documents tool like Bill My Car is a good fit. If you need to know profit per car, settle partners and run branches, a used car business system like VehicleERP is built for that. Franchise DMS products are aimed at authorised dealerships with workshops.

Can I use Tally or Vyapar to run a used car dealership?+

For statutory books and invoices, yes. Neither describes per-vehicle landed cost, the used car margin scheme or partner profit sharing on the pages we cite, so most dealers who use them keep a spreadsheet beside them for the cars - which is the problem a used car business system exists to remove.

Is VehicleERP a DMS?+

No. It is used car dealership software - it does not do OEM ordering, service bays or spare parts. See our explainer on used car software versus a DMS.

How did you choose the products on this list?+

They are the products that appear in Indian search results for used car dealer software and that dealers ask us about. Facts are from each vendor’s public pages in September 2026; we have linked our own comparisons where we have written them.

Chintan Poriya is the Co-Founder and CEO of BytezTech, the company behind VehicleERP. Before building the platform, he spent time close to used-vehicle dealerships and kept seeing the same pattern: stock tracked across Excel sheets, updates passed around on WhatsApp, and real profit per vehicle only known once the books closed at month-end. That gap - between how dealerships actually run and the patchwork of tools they run on - is what led him to start VehicleERP: a single operating system built around how a dealership buys, prices, sells, and grows. He now leads product and business strategy for VehicleERP, working directly with dealership owners to shape the platform around real operations rather than generic software templates.
